Day 2: Conquering Nyiragongo’s Summit

An early start sees us departing for Virunga National Park. After expert briefing, you’ll embark on a thrilling ascent of Nyiragongo Volcano. The 5-hour hike, beginning at Kibati, winds through challenging terrain to reward you with panoramic vistas, especially breathtaking at night. Overnight at the crater rim is a memory to treasure.

Day 3: Descending from the Volcano

After breakfast, it’s time to descend Nyiragongo. Reuniting with your driver at Kiribati, the journey leads to Bukima. Overnight and dinner await at Bukima, where nature’s tranquility soothes.

Day 4: Gorilla Encounter in Virunga National Park

Fuel up with an early breakfast before embarking on an enthralling gorilla trek. Guided by experts, venture into the Virunga forest. Your encounter with these majestic creatures, lasting between 30 minutes to 7 hours, promises insights and photo opportunities. Return to your lodge for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Day 5: Homeward Bound

As the adventure draws to a close, you’ll be transported back to Kigali. Capture picturesque moments at the Rwanda-Congo border before concluding your journey in Kigali.
