This 14 days Uganda Wildlife & Nature Safari takes you around the pearl of Africa to experience the best things nature has to offer. You will have multiple opportunities to see the green nature, including forests, swamps and get to see the fresh water bodies include the Nile River – one of the World’s longest.

This Safari also takes you to visit the different communities around Uganda for amazing cultural experiences, and also visit the different wildlife parks for game viewing. You will also get to encounter a number of birds, on this trip so if you’re a birdwatcher, look out for the different species.

The start of this trip will give you a Rhino tracking experience – at the Ziwa Sanctuary as you are enroute to Murchison for the Uganda Wildlife experience.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive in Uganda /Entebbe

You will be picked up from Entebbe international airport and then transfer to your accommodation for the night. Checkin it at Santa Maria hotel Entebbe for dinner and night stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park with Rhino tracking enroute

Today, we drive north west towards Murchison falls national park – Uganda’s oldest and biggest wildlife parks. We will have a stopover in Nakasongola – after driving for 1 and a half hours at the Ziwa Sanctuary for a chance to the Rhinos. This will take about 2 hours after which we will proceed to Murchison with another stop over in Masindi town for lunch. In the afternoon proceed with the journey to Murchison.

We will hike to the top of the falls, to have that amazing view before the sun sets. Later check into your lodge for night stay.

Day 3: Wildlife viewing experience in Murchison Falls National park

Have early breakfast before going for the morning game drive accompanied with a sunrise and stunning views of River Nile on the the left and Lake Albert on the right giving light on how adventurous boat cruise will be viewing the strongest Nile falls from the bottom. You’ll have a chance to watch both wildlife and aquatic animals on the river banks and in water. We will carry packed lunch from the hotel. Later proceed for an evening short game drive on our way to Pakuba safari lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest

Early morning breakfast before checking out to Kibale, enjoy game drives enroute while moving out of the park. Stop over for lunch at Gardens Hotel in Fort Portal.

Day 5: Bigodi Community & Swamp Walk

Take a swamp walk into the bigodi wetland – known to have over 138 bird species. Later return to the lodge for lunch and rest. For the children, optional activities available include like watching TV, coloring books, toys from the children house and play football. All parties i.e. adults with children (ziplining and swimming) as the day ends in style.

Day 6: Visit Tooro Place, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today we will visit the Tooro Kings Palace, set across one of the hills in Fort portal town. Later have lunch before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth national park for the rest of the afternoon. While enroute, have a chance to visit the Local markets with lots of fruits species including pineapples, melons, mangoes etc.

Day 7: Uganda Wildlife – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early morning cup of coffee or tea, you will drive to Kasenyi plains for your game drive. Kasenyi plains boost of several wild animals whose chance of seeing them depends on your luck of the day. On a good day, you may spot big cats like lions and leopards hunting, buffaloes, elephants, several antelopes, warthogs and other small mammals.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and then drive to Mweya peninsular for a two hour boat cruise on Kazinga channel. Kazinga channel which connects Lakes George and Edward offers an opportunity to view on of the highest concentration of hippos in the world. You will also be fascinated by the large numbers of crocodiles and over 400 water bird species since most animals converge there to drink water. You will have high chances of spotting hippos, birds, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and so much more. Retreat from the cruise and do a game drive along the channel track as you connect to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 8: Visit to Dave the cave

Swimming in the transparent lake and story telling about the formation of the Twin lakes by a site guide as one way of supporting the community.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mutanda

Drive south to Lake Mutanda in Kisoro from Queen, pass through the Ishasha with chances of seeing some tree climbing lions. On reaching Kisoro, you will take a boat cruise to Lake Mutanda Resort, where you will be received with one of our tour guides to the hotel.

Day 10:  Culture & Community Experience with Pigymes

Today we will have an opportunity to experience the Pigymes’ culture and customs as the first gorilla conservationists. Later you will visit some of the local markets and Kisoro town.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

We will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi today while moving through the misty hillsides in Kigezi. While enroute, there is a chance to see the volcanic mountains and take some photography.

Enjoy the Black smith experience and head to Bird Nest hotel as we drive on top of rolling hills of Kigezi with magnificent views of Lake Bunyonyi. Welcome swimming in both the lake and pool, football playing at the hotel with a cosy, comfortable evening with anonymous services as the day clocks to climax.

Day 12: Visit local Schools, then transfer to Lake Mburo

Today we will visit some local schools around Kabale before heading out. Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park in the afternoon with a short game drive on our way to Rwakobo rock resort.

Day 13: Lake Mburo National Park, then transfer to Entebbe

Walking safari or horse back safari ride in convoy with a safari vehicle for a back up for incase. Transfer to Entebbe with Lunch enroute at the Equator – Kayabwe. Lake check in Entebbe at Santa Maria hotel.

Day 14: Visit Entebbe Zoo & Lake Victoria

Enjoy lunch at the shores of Lake Victoria (in the Zoo) and visit some craft shops if needed to do, refreshment, changing, check out and depart for the airport.
