DAY 8: FULL DAY MASAI MARA MORNING AND EVENING GAME DRIVES

One of the best highlights for the Uganda Kenya wildlife safari is the big game experience in Masai Mara. Today, you will do full day game drives in this spectacular reserve. The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas with rolling grasslands which offer ideal game viewing and photographic opportunities and the grassy plains are broken by rocky outcrops which are favourite midday resting places for lions.  Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor is almost assured to see the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino) in the Mara.

The annual wildebeest’s migration alone, also called The Great Migration, involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. During this time over a million wildebeests accompanied by thousands of other herbivores, migrate from Serengeti National Park to the Mara in search for greener pastures. Hundreds of lions and hyenas follow them picking on the old and weaker ones.

A full day game drive with picnic lunch at the Mara River as you enjoy the scenic view of the crocodiles resting on the brown-muddy river banks gives a remarkable experience.

Accommodation: Nalepomara Lodge / Ol Moran Camp/Masai Mara Sopa Lodge
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 9: DRIVE TO BACK TO NAIROBI TO END THE TRIP.

This will be our last day for the Uganda Kenya wildlife safari. You will have early morning breakfast, then check out of your lodge and have a morning game drive as you leave the park to Nairobi.
