This 5 Day safari is for those interested in viewing wildlife in Serengeti National park and Ngorongoro conservation Area in Tanzania. This 5 days safari commences and ends in Arusha, Tanzania taking you to enjoy the majestic Serengeti National Park to see millions of wildebeest that migrate to Kenya and back, the big 5, giraffes, hyenas, Zebras, antelopes, ostrich, and a unique landscape (endless plains) that led to this park being named a world wonder.

You will proceed with your safari to Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact inactive volcanic caldera with unique spectacular scenery you can’t find anywhere else in the whole world plus the ever-present wildlife that includes the big 5, antelopes, wildebeests, birds, etc.

Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: DAY ONE: PICK UP FROM THE AIRPORT/HOTEL IN ARUSHA AND DRIVE TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.

You will be picked from your Hotel/ airport and then start to drive towards the most famous National park in the World, the Serengeti. The drive itself, although long, is spectacular and will take you through Serengeti endless plains.

It is the home of the Great Migration and 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras and all kinds of antelopes, many impalas and Thomson’s gazelles. As for Big Cats and large predators, it’s the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas. Dinner and overnight at the lodge of your liking.

DAY 2: FULL DAY IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Today, you will have full day in Serengeti National Park. Depending on your choice, you could do a morning game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation and finish with an afternoon game drive, or you could do a full day game drive with picnic lunch.

Serengeti National Park named among the world’s natural wonders because of its countless population of wildebeest migrating every year between it and Maasai Mara presents a magical day time experience than ever before. The game drive offers rich possibilities of exploring a multitude of wild game ranging from predators like lions, Hyenas, Jackals, Vulture birds, grazers like elephants, Wildebeest, Zebras, Thomson Gazelles, and Giraffes among other species. The standing rock Kopjes presents a good place for your picnic lunch while the visit to the information centre allows you to understand more about the park.

Retire to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: EARLY MORNING GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA.

On this day, you will wake up early in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you’ll ever witness. It’s really one of the most beautiful experiences to have. After the game drive, we return to the lodge for a rewarding brunch and then with packed lunch embark on the journey to Ngorongoro, the 8th wonder of the Natural World. You will have a stopover at Olduvai Gorge Museum to explore the heritage that surrounds the discovery of early man skull in the 1960s by Dr Leakey.

Proceed to arrive in Ngorongoro for a half-day Crater tour. The panoramic views of the crater while standing at the rim presents good photo opportunities and remarkable memories of the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. The crater floor has a multitude of wildlife including counts of elephants, Rhinos, the largest population of Maasai lions, the Wildebeest, Zebras, and Hippos among other species.

DAY 4: FULL DAY IN NGORONGORO

We will start the day very early and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. It’s one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black Rhino. The concentration of African wildlife is the greatest in the continent. The crater has a river, several swamps, and a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest and open plains.

DAY 5: GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER BACK TO ARUSHA TO END THE SAFARI

You will have early breakfast and start on morning game drive in the true Wonder of the Natural World. The crater has the densest known population of lions, in the rainforest of crater rim are leopards, large elephants, mountain reedbuck, buffalos, spotted hyenas, jackal, rare wild dogs, cheetahs and other animals.

After the game drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the beautiful hippo lake. After lunch, you will ascend the crater and exit Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Arusha for drop off at the airport or hotel.
